Student Request for Review Process

The Disability Resource Center approves accommodations based on an interactive, on-going process with students to meet their individual needs. When a student does not agree with an accommodation determination or would like the DRC to review a concern, they can fill out a Student Request for Review form. Below is detailed information and procedures associated with the Student Request for Review Process.

Step 1:

Meet with your assigned Accessibility Specialist to request an accommodation or discuss a current concern. To meet with your Accessibility Specialist, visit our Schedule an Appointment page.

Step 2:

If the Accessibility Specialist determines an accommodation request is not reasonable and the student does not agree OR a student feels like a current concern was not resolved. They can meet with an Assistant Director within 15 business days.


Step 3:


If the Assistant Director determines the accommodation request is not reasonable and the student does not agree OR a student feels like a current concern was not resolved. They may appeal and meet with an Associate Director within 10 business days.

In order to proceed to this step, new documentation or information must be submitted in the request form.

Step 4

If the Associate Director determines accommodation request is not reasonable and the student does not agree OR a student feels like a current concern was not resolved. They may appeal and meet with the Director within 10 business days.

In order to proceed to this step, new documentation or information must be submitted in the request form.


Step 5:

This is the final determination of the Disability Resource Center at the University of Florida.

If a student does not agree with the final decision made by the DRC Director, they may submit an official UF ADA Grievance
