The UF Disability Resource Center is excited to announce that we have officially chartered a chapter of Delta Alpha Pi at UF!

Mission & Vision

Delta Alpha Pi was established in 2018 and is an honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges and universities as undergraduate or graduate students. The mission of Delta Alpha Pi at the University of Florida is to destigmatize disability, celebrate diversity, and provide a supportive community for high achieving students with disabilities.

General Body Meetings

General Body Meetings are held in the Cypress Gathering Room from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Please see the dates below for the Spring 2019 meeting dates. If you are a distance/online student or otherwise need to attend meetings virtually, please email dapi@ufsa.ufl.edu for a zoom link.

Points Events

In order to be inducted into Delta Alpha Pi, students must earn 4 points by attending events related to the DAPi mission as well as general body meetings. Events listed below are eligible for membership points. Please email at dapi@ufsa.ufl.edu regarding receiving points for events not already on the approved list.

Delta Alpha Pi Induction Ceremony

Join Delta Alpha Pi

Membership is open to both undergraduate and graduate students at UF who meet the following criteria:

All students must:

  • Present with a documented disability and work with one of the faculty or staff members in the Office of Disability Services, or self-identify as an individual with a disability;
  • Demonstrate an interest in disability issues.
  • Pay membership dues of $25

Undergraduate students must have:

  • Completed a minimum of 24 credits;
  • Earned an overall Quality Point Average of 3.10 on a 4.00 scale.

Graduate students must have:

  • Completed a minimum of 18 credits;
  • Earned an overall Quality Point Average of 3.30 on a 4.00 scale.

Membership Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. In order to be inducted in the Spring 2019 semester, students must receive 4 points from attending approved disability-related events prior to induction. Please see the events list for approved events.
